TRC Launches Updated WebsitePosted Mar 6, 2014
TRC has launched a new and improved version of its website to offer extensive new features to better assist visitors.
Find a Site
One of the biggest improvements is on the Find a Site page where visitors can enter their zip code to search for their nearest collection site. Search results have been updated to direct people to active collection sites within the program. This assists homeowners, contractors, and technicians in identifying convenient collection sites who are actively participating in the program. It also assists TRC in filtering out closed, consolidated or moved locations from search results.
State Recycling Programs
The State Recycling Programs page received a major overhaul and now features a clickable map of the United States to easily see different state laws and regulations. This allows for easier navigation and lists state-specific information about mercury thermostat disposal.
Become a Collection Site
Those interested in signing up to become collection sites may now fill out an application directly online. Previously, only PDF versions were available to print, fill out, and fax back in. PDF versions are still available, but the online application was added to make it easier and quicker for those to sign up in the program.
Collection Partners is a new section that lists collection partner locations that have committed to offering TRC's mercury thermostat collection program at all of their locations within the continental U.S. This highlights information about each company and directs you to their websites to find out more.
Another new feature is the introduction of a TRC Blog to let visitors in behind the scenes of TRC a little more. The blog will provide updates about TRC travels to trade shows, collection partner spotlights, HVAC industry commentary, tips to market your program, and more.
Also new to the website is the Highlights page. The hard work and collaboration of TRC’s staff, member companies, collection partners, and the HVAC industry has paid off to help make TRC’s program successful. This new page features some highlights of these accomplishments.
There’s a new Contact Us page that allows visitors to fill out an online form to submit an inquiry directly to TRC. This was added to offer better communication with the TRC team and to assist with answering questions in a timely manner.
