How To Stay Warm Through A Cold Wave

Many parts of the country are experiencing a severe cold wave. Cities like Chicago, Milwaukee and Minneapolis and other Midwestern cities are colder than Siberia and Antarctica with temperatures below 0 degrees Fahrenheit. The Northeast may not be quite as cold, but it is still below freezing (32 degrees Fahrenheit). Fort Washington will experience temperatures in the teens on this last day of January.

With temperatures like this, it’s a no brainer that everyone wants to stay inside where it’s warm. To ensure it stays warm inside your home, it is important to remember to care for your heating system, so it performs optimally all winter long. The air filter in your heating system builds up more dirt the harder it works, which can cause the heater to not work properly. Check and change your air filter before the build up gets to be too much. Air filters are both inexpensive and easy to change.
